Pet Digital Imaging in Lake Oswego, OR

At Compass Veterinary Clinic, we provide ultrasonography services facilitated by Dr. Potter.

PUTTING OUR PATIENTS’ HEALTH AND SAFETY FIRST.

Compass utilizes the most advanced digital X-ray unit available, the Vet-Ray DX-V by Sedecal. The state-of-the-art DX-V delivers unparalleled image quality in as little as six seconds. Digital X-rays expose patients to far less radiation than film X-rays (up to 70% less), so they pose less of a health risk to both pets and people.

The images produced by our digital x-ray unit are very precise and crystal clear. This reduces or eliminates the need for retakes of the same area. Our technicians are trained to get the image right on the first take. We strive to lower the stress on your pet and reduce exposure to X-ray radiation. Digital images can also easily be edited, enhanced, and quickly sent to a radiologist for additional interpretation. The earlier the diagnosis, the better the chance of effective treatment for your pet.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO MINIMIZING RADIATION EXPOSURE

Our Sedecal DX-V is 100% manufactured and maintained by Sedecal — not a cobbled-together solution using refurbished old parts as you may see in many clinics. This means the unit is tested and calibrated to deliver the best results with minimal radiation exposure to patients and technicians.

Old-style film X-rays require the use of hazardous chemicals for development, resulting in dangerous environmental waste. Images are immediately available with digital X-rays, but require time for development with film. At Compass Veterinary Clinic, we are committed to minimizing environmental waste.

FEAR FREE DIGITAL IMAGING

Along with our commitment to minimizing radiation exposure for pets and people, we also know the value of Fear Free practices in veterinary imaging. A calm pet means clearer images without the need for sedatives. Our practice was built to minimize stress for pets and our team is fully trained in Fear Free veterinary care.
